in what ratio should i mix cement and water?
Coupla two, three, four parts to one.
There is no good set ratio. But use a bucket instead of a hose and when you get the right mix you can fill the bucket to that level every time.
If you're asking about premixed cement in a bag - you put in enough water to make it like a very thick stew. you need enough water so the mixture is all wet but not really watery. The wetter you mix the concrete is the softer the final dry concrete will be. Hope this helps
If you are trying to make concrete you also need to add sand. Portland cement + sand + water = mortar Portland cement + rock + water = concrete Mix dry first then add the water. Add water slowly then mix up add more water a little at a time. If you get it too wet it is not as strong. If you get the mix a little to runny, add more portland cement.
