What are the problems that can be caused from welding on overhead hoist/crane framework. Want to move endstop for travel. Can I weld a new stop on the track it travels on.The original stop is welded on.
If you are shortening the travel, it is likely you can carefully weld a new stop with as low heat as possible to avoid distorting the track. If you are extending, besides the same kind of welding, you have to remove the old stop and grind it down smooth.
