installing 240v garage heater.10/3 wire blk/red 2 pwr blk,copper to housing.Neutral to ?

Answer:

You only need 3 of those wires. Use both blacks, and the ground. Using both blacks will keep you from having to trace down which one you used on the other end.
The neutral goes to the neutral buss in the panel. It may be needed for the control circuits in the heater. If there is no terminal in the heater to attach, tape it off after bending the end over for a safe job.
Most cases only require a 10/2 for heaters. If your heater only has 2 wires on it, you don't need a neutral. Connect the black and red wires to the heater and the ground to the ground terminal in the heater. Cut off the white wire and put a wire nut on it. Tape the wire nut on for added safety. In the panel, connect the black and red wires to your breaker, the ground to the ground bar. Cut off and cap the neutral. Don't connect it to the neutral bar. Good luck!!
