Question:

Intel i5 or AMD bulldozer?

I know you need a different board! Please read the entire question! So I need a new CPU and I have 2 choices, I use my PC for hardcore gaming and a fair bit of video editing. I currently have 8gb RAM and a intel g620 CPUMy choices...Intel i5 2500K = ?159.95or New Mobo + 8gb Ram + AMD Bulldozer 4 core = ?159.57Any ideas?

Answer:

follow Intel and the i5-3570k, getting an AMD motherboard and the 8150 could be a downgrade..... The 8350 Vishera CPU on the different hand is a problematical call to make in case you activity and multitask/ video encode and so on....... seeing as its merely Gaming...... pass Intel.
I'd go with the Bulldozer any day baby.
You've trolled hard by the Troll Patrol, LOL For games, Core i5 is better than anything AMD makes. For video editing Bulldozer is better, but if you're not doing that all day long, it's not worth the weaker gaming results. Bulldozer is slower than older Phenom II in games. That's why it's been given the name Faildozer by most hardcore AMD gamers.
Unless youre multitasking like a mofo all day go with an i5 In fact, I would actually wait for Ivy Bridge to come out (since its only like 2 days left now). They're supposed to be 7% than Sandy Bridge at about the same price.
