Question:

Intel Sandy Bridge or AMD Bulldozer?

Hi, I am currently looking into upgrading my custom built phenom ii x4 desktop. I hear amd is realsing it's version of Intel's 'Sandy bridge' and i was wondering, if anyone can inform me on the information of each. For example i was wondering which one is better for gaming? Any links would help too. Thanks.

Answer:

i'd in my opinion wait for the bulldozer to return out as a manner to get a sturdy assessment 2 processors. additionally value would be decrease on the sandy bridge 2600k as a manner to compete. So wait!!!
How can we give opinions when bulldozer hasnt been released and no benchmarks and comparisons are available you will just have to wait till AMD release these products to be able to make a educated decision on which is better somewhere around may or june I think is the release date
i might individually look ahead to the bulldozer to come back out as a manner to get a reliable assessment 2 processors. additionally value may be decrease on the sandy bridge 2600k as a manner to compete. So wait!!!
I doubt AMD's processor will be epic : the i7's and even the i5's (and/or the xeons) usually take up the upper charts of benchmarks. It goes against me having a AMD processor (lol it sucks), but Intel cpu's will game MUCH better than AMD's cpus, and will last a longer time. Go for a P67 and a i7 2600k processor, get a third party cpu cooler, and be glad in the purchase you made (2600k can oc to 4.5ghz+ easily)
