Looking to build a new gaming rig, just can't decide whether to go for the Intel 2600k cpu(already released) or wait for the AMD Bulldozer cpu, which releases sometime early 2011 = (. Is it worth waiting for?
No it doesn't, bulldozer doesn't release until this summer. You will be waiting a while
It's unlikely that Bulldozer will beat the 2600K, that would be a surprise. AMD is somewhat far behind Intel at this point Have an i7 2600K myself running @ 4.4 ghz on air. Hell of a CPU
Coming from an AMD fan like myself, Intel has surprised me this time. Sandybridge CPU's are completely worth the money, like the 2600k. Just make sure you match the chipset up so that way you can overclock RAM,CPU, and graphics accordingly.
