Question:

irobot vacuum cleaner that sucks up dog hair?

I am wanting to buy one of those self-activated quot;robotvacuum cleaners. But I need one that will have good enough suction to vacuum up a LOT of dog hair. What is the best one?

Answer:

Never happen the dirt cup is way too small. You have to do it the old fashion way or hire a made!
I've had pretty good luck with the iRobot cleaner. As mentioned, they don't have much capacity but that's not necessarily a show-stopper. The first few times you use it, you'll probably have to empty it every 10-15 minutes, which can be annoying. Once it's cleaned up the backlog of months or years worth of hair, it'll be much more manageable.
Don't waste your money - you will be extremely unhappy with the results. Cleaning one of those robots does not just involve dumping the trash - you need to clean the brushes and rollers as well. The bad part about irobot is that pet hair will wrap tightly around the guides on the sides of the rollers. You can't just pick that off - it takes a tool to pry the stuff loose.
