Is a guillotine more efficient or scaffolds where people are hanged more efficient?

Answer:

both are 100% efficient in taking one's life so i guess it's a draw. eitherway, you get the job done. hanging is less messy though
guillotine is more effecient, it also choose to be a royal punishment for French revolution - because it capacity to cut fastly without the pain. Scaffolding in other hand is soo painful.
Hangman's noose is surprisingly messy. It causes the victim to soil themselves in multiple different ways. Then they convulse about. Also, if you drop them too far, then it will decapitate them. Guillotine was designed by a French physician to be a more humane way of execution. Still messy, but still more efficient.
Scaffolds are sometimes more efficient. Depends on whether the sudden drop snaps their neck, or they strangle to death. Guillotines, however, can sever your head so cleanly your head actually stays alive for ten more seconds. They used to super-sharpen the blade for really bad criminals and the like so they could lift the head and show them their own body before they died.
If you're looking to execute someone, they both get the job done, historically speaking....
