There is some logic to lime or lemon in your water to aid. But it needs to be part of a bigger approach. Dr. Robert Young wrote a book called the pH miracle - and it details that we mostly have an Acid diet, and to protect ourselves our body holds on to water and fat to buffer our organs against the acid. If we move to a more alkaline diet (as with the lime/lemon water) your body will feel comfortable shedding the weight.
Lime contains citric acid, a natural fat burner. I would suggest 2 glasses a day. I wouldn't rely on lime water as your only approach to weight loss but would include it as a part of a fitness program and a proper diet to include a meal replacement shake.
