Question:

is an Oxyhydrogen generator and a Hydrogen fuel cell generator the same thing?

and other than a gimmick is either commercially viable for my home in any way. Can I use it for heating or cooking.

Answer:

The oxy generator is a water electrolyser. It is energy negative (energy input is greater than the total available energy output), so is not economically viable for home heating or cooking. The fuel cell generator can be the same thing, or it can also be a catalytic hydrocarbon cracker, generating hydrogen from petroleum or possibly natural gas. For heating or cooking it is still thermodynamically more efficient to burn the hydrocarbon fuel directly. So much for G.W Bush's hydogen economy About as convincing as his WMD claims!
