Is becoming philosophical like being hoist upon your own petard?

Answer:

The term means Injured by the device that you intended to use to injure others. If you use philosophy to try to make yourself seem better, smarter, etc. then yea, I suppose you could injure your own ego in trying to break down other people's. Frankly, I don't know many philosophical people who use philosophy to put others down... although this question comes pretty close.
In a lot of ways, yes.
yep its a lot like that if it comes out naturally why try and keep it in no matter the smell or were you looking to say philosophers are suicide bombers
