Aluminum will hold almost 50% more heat per pound than iron. That fact is what is known as specific heat. Aluminum also costs more per pound than iron.
The question doesn't make sense. Both metals can retain an equal amount of heat before they are no longer recognizable as metals.
You never see radiators made out of aluminium or iron ,they are always made out of mild steal .
Copper is one of the main components of Brass and the price of copper is over $3/ lb. How expensive brass flat bar is depends on the size and how much you need for the project. You might try some local hobby shops for small pieces and sizes.
