Their replacing my water pipes with new copper pipes, atleast i think their copper i assumed their copper because of their color. Anyways whenever i brush my theeth i have a metal aftertaste, not that i drink the water but it taste funny.

hmm well i don't know if it can harm you any, but if you have a metal after taste then their is definitely something in your water
copper pipes wont harm you, until they start to corrode which shouldnt be for a long time. although if theres a metla aftertaste then maybe you should get yourself a water purifier. they work really well. my grandad lives in suffolk, england, and the water there is hard (lots of lime in it) and when mum and i stayed with him we just could not use the water for anything, not even brushing our teeth. he doesnt like the water either so he had a purifier anyway and the water tasted just like our water here in sydney.
