Is foil paper the same as aluminum ?
I think this is similar to or may be what you describedMy Family loves this pattern and I am so sick of making it for years so here it is and you can get requests for itK 62 turn, k5 Add another skein or color, k5, go back to first color and pull tight, k 5 do this all across to the last stitchAt the end of the row k 1The pattern is all knitsWhen you get to the lenght you want sew both yarns through the stitches and pull it tight and then sew it together to the instepThen fasten the back together starting at the two ends and going part way down and have two pieces of the project to sew across to make the slipper flatI think this is similar to or may be what you described.
