Question:

Is it odd to boil roast lamb?

I'm a guy who doesn't know the first thing about cooking except the basics, and when mum asked me to cook the Sunday roast I took it as a personal challenge to make it tender and juicy compared to hers which is always dry and gross(not that it can be helped, she just roasts it and nothing else)So each time I prepare the roast I boil it first to make it really tender and juicy and also so it takes less time in the ovenOnce boiled its put in an oven tray, sprayed and salted to make it crispy and seasoned to make it flavorsomeI make a stock from seasonings in the cupboard and just pour it Over and make sure the bottom of the pan Is generously filled with liquid to prevent drying outEverytime I do it like this it always comes out succulent and juicy and bursting with flavor, but mum refuses to eat it cos she thinks it's not right to boil it firstIs she right? Is it better to have it dry and plain rathe than juicy and flavorful? Thanks for the answers :)

Answer:

bleach and vinegar with a hint of lemon juice and egg
Hey you! I am soooooo aware of how you must feel, I had it so bad!!!! On my face, back, arms, legs, it came from a staph infection in my blood at the timeI can't tell you how miserable I was!!!! To try and help, if you have oily skin, keep from leaning your face against your hand, DO NOT pop or pick at acne it just makes it worse! Also, change your pillow case often, like maybe 3x a weekI hope this helps out someAlso try alpha hydrox or retinol as these creams seem to help some people but check with a doctor first! Good luck and keep your chin high! It does go away in timeJust be your own wonderful self and let people see that! If they make fun then who needs 'em! Be strong! Remember! There are other people who have had your same troubleand I'm one of them! Trust me! Just hang in there, you'll be fine!
If it works for you, okayIf it's your mom's house and she buys the food, maybe you could cut the roast in half and cook half the way she likes it and the other half the way you like it I don't like boiled meatI like to keep the flavor in the meatMy roasts are always juicy and flavorfulCooking for a longer time at a lower temperature and/or using a roasting bag or covering the baking pan with aluminum foil keeps meats from drying out.
