Question:

Is it possible to use tungsten for a bicycle frame?

I'm doing a theoretical project (just see if it's possible) and it's based on designing a bicycle frame with an unconventional materialI'm thinking about tungstenBesides the excessive price, is there any other inconvenient issue about this material? It can be weld, shaped and its mechanical properties are awesomeI tried some calculations and it would result in a very thin and low-weight structure (4x lighter than aluminium)Is something missing me?

Answer:

Maybe put some aroma into it, perfume.
metal smells? if its from china you might wanna return it because you probably have lead poisoning
i dont know its kind of funny but i put some lotion that smells good on it .
Soak it in body wash (heavy aroma) maybe?
I disagree about the weighttungsten is incredibly dense 19.25g/cm^3 compared to aluminum which is 2.70g/cm^3i.eif you had two equal volumes of tungsten and aluminum would, the tungsten would be significantly heavier.
