Some people that nearly died are telling about a light, and people who are saved or have got salvation have seen the light. Is it the same light?
There is only one light. The source of light, love, energy. The pure light and energy of our source creator, the process of life itself.
ONLY IN NEAR DEATH SITUATIONS ~~ they see a light as the body is withdrawing away from life (the spirit is leaving)_. however, the LIGHT leaves as the body remains on earth and the person comes back to life... i have never heard of it in savingsituations.
You have a couple things mixed up. The idiom to see the light means to come into understanding. It is used in a general sense as well as in a religious sense. When some people say this, they mean that they have had an epiphany--they were blind (by ignorance) but now they say. Additionally, scripture calls Jesus the light, so they also incorporate the idea of seeing Jesus as part of the experience. In near death experiences, some people have reported seeing a white light; some report the existence of a silver cord; and others have very frightening troublesome experiences. As well, near death experiences vary across cultures. So basically, I think you that these are two different lights that you are speaking of.
The light seen by people who almost die is an actual light (as I understand what I've read). They actually see a bright light. Those people who are saved are said to have seen the light as in they got it, they understand. So this is not saying that they actually see a light with their eyes, they now realize what it means in their hearts. Either way its a very good thing.
