Limewire itself isn't illegal. However, downloading copywrited music from a site such as this is. All music is protected by copywrite laws; they are copywrited in the country in which they were recorded. This is what happened with Napster years ago. Go buy the music.
The sharing of the music and video is illegal. Limewire just provides the means with which to do this.

Lime Wire is not illegal... but downloading copyright materials without paying for them is. Lime Wire is just the software to share files.. sharing illegal files (child porn etc..) and copyright files (albums, songs, movies) without the owners permission or paying for the file is illegal.
