Question:

Is more expensive gasoline with additives (like exxon) truly better than cheaper gas (like valero)?

Just speaking of regular unleaded fuel. Is paying the higher price of (ex. Exxon) gas practical, or is the cheaper stuff (ex. Valero) just as good. I hear all this stuff about it coming from the same place but the fancier gas places add additives, but is that just a gimic to make it seem better so you‘ll pay more?

Answer:

I gotta be honest with you, when I go to Exxon, the car can go 3 more days without a fill up from Exxon then it would from any other station. I drive a Nissan Altima Hybrid. With Exxon I fill up every 17 days, elsewhere, it is like 14 days.To me, it's not hype.
Put some white distilled vingar mixed with water and leave it on to steam. Keep steaming and running it across a towel. It should clean it out. No it isn't going to break, but it is getting clogged.
I hear all this stuff about it coming from the same place but the fancier gas places add additives, yes the all come from the same pipe line (History Channel - Modern Marvel). They all the same additive. It is all marketing. good Luck. P.S. I've been buying the cheapest gas since 1985. Never had problems because of dirty fuel.
