My brand new Airsoft Sniper L96-MB01 Warrior has been dispatched and I want to be ready before I start using it.I'm planning on shooting pigeons with this gun (legal in the UK because there considered pests), however I don't want to seriously injure the bird, and would rather kill it instantly or within 3 seconds.I'm going to remove the velocity reducer, maxing the speed of the sniper to 440 FPS.I'm also going to use 0.30g Aluminium pellets.Will this kill a pigeon in one shot? (If I aimed at the neck/chest).

noif limited to 500 fps you'll need heavier BBs, perhaps the chrome steel 6mm BB (ball bearing) the reason is because plastic and aluminum BBs have really crappy BC, they lose energy and velocity very quickly after leaving the barrela .30 gram aluminum BB may be going 440 at muzzle but at 50 feet it's going 300 and at 100 feet its maybe 225 fpsthat isn't enough to kill anything heavier BBs maintain energy betterthe heaviest regular 6mm BB is the .43 plastic, plastic is not suitable for killing birds because its too softto the next best and readily available is the 6mm chrome steel BB at around .88 gram500 fps with .88 gram steel BB makes a very potent bird-sniping rifleyou can kill pigeons easy up to 150 feet with that.
