wax paper is coated in 'wax'you can't put it in the oven any more than you could put 'cling wrap' in the oven I am sure the boxes have directions on themIf you don't have parchment paper and are looking for a substitute, I would go with aluminum foil before I'd try anything elsedepending on what you are doing.
