Is PVS pipe a good material to use for a tube if I am building a Dobsonian telescope?

Answer:

As long as you cover the can, refrigerate it, and use it within 1-2 days, it should be fineDon't ever let your animal eat out of the can, thoughIt could get hurt by the sharp edgesI always spoon mine out into a bowl, ( after refrigeration ) and heat it for about 12 seconds in my microwave, because cats like their food warm.NOT HOT, and NOT COLDHope this helps.Good luck.
I give my cats 1/2 can of canned food and the rest goes in the fridge - but its eaten the next mealIf you are keeping it in the can for more then overnight (next meal) its probably better to put in a plastic container and store.
My cats eat it up so fast that its never in the can for long! But actually on occasion I cover it in foil and stick it in the fridgeNever had a problem.
Reasons not to: 1bisphenol-a (or whatever that is)Some people are concerned about this stuff being presentBut since that's what the food is packed in, I'm not sure how removing it once opened would be of any help2Metallic taste or smell3Ability to microwaveI personally don't worry about itI feed either 1/3 or 1/2 can twice per day so the amount of time it stays in the can is pretty shortIf it took me longer to use up a can I might consider putting it in something else to avoid any possible metallic taste or smell, but I'd let the cats determine whether that was a problemYou could certainly offload into something else if you want but I don't think it's a huge deal.
Man things have come a long wayI made mine out of an old commercial carpet carboard insert tube:) Since noone else said it, I willYou can use a support strut system with a curtain coverIt won't work well in daytime, but will work fine at nightWith the larger aperatures (16 and above) it is also A LOT lighterTake a look at the link below for an example(Don't drool on the example!!)
