I'm in the middle of doing research on the same topic. It's all very confusing. What I've found is that a lot of people claim their product is green, but there not. I went to a store that specializes in green bldg today. The owner clarified a few things. She said not to forget things like.how far away is this stone being quarried? do they have to ship it across the us to get to my store? If so, there is far less green value in the material. She recomended I go see a local manufactor who makes some really cool ash concrete contertops with recycled glass. I'm going tomorrow. I wish you luck.
