Question:

Is Stainless Steel magnetic?

Of particular interest are properties of stainless steel rods and plates that currently used in orthopedic implants (for broken bones and such).

Answer:

Not magnetic.but magnets will stick to stainless steel.Stainless Steal can be magnatized if exposed to a strong magnet. At most you'll trip metal detectors at the airport.Good Luck take Care
Inhaling any matal filings can be dangerous, the highest of Stainless s Steel contain copper, in the rubber industry latex tanks have to ber made of 396 stainless steel sheets which are copper free
No. Basically Iron, nickel and cobalt and some of their alloys are the only magnetic metals. Technically many other materials are magnetic and have a weak interaction with a magnet. While stainless steel is made of iron along with carbon and chromium, it does not strongly attract to a magnet.
