Is the best Marscapone from the Dolomites?
MascaRpone is a cheese from Lombardia, not Dolomites! In fact its name should be Mascherpone because it had its origin in Cascina Mascherpa, between Milano and Pavia.
The best mascarpone is produced in South-Western Lombardy (districts Lodi and Pavia), like other cheeses. Dolomiti is also a brand of butter and cheese, so perhaps you've confused.
Mascarpone is made from milk cream, so I guess you'll find the best mascarpone where the best cows are :-) Anyway, mascarpone is a typical product from Lombardy, so your info actually holds some truth.
