Question:

Is the I-beam generally made or is it a long one?

Is the I-beam generally made or is it a long one?

Answer:

I-beam is also called steel girder (I Beam). It is a long strip steel with cross section. I-beam is divided into ordinary I-beam and light I-beam, H steel three. I-beam is widely used in various building structures, bridges, vehicles, supports, machinery and so on.
Usually length: model 10#-18#, usually 5- 19M in length, type 20#-63#, usually 6-19 M in length. When custom-made, the I-beam is delivered at fixed or double feet length, and the length of the fixed foot and double length is less than or equal to 8M, and the allowable deviation is + 40 mm.
I-beam is a kind of steel section, also called steel girder, which is a long strip steel with cross section. Hence its name is i-beam". The specifications and models of I-beam are shown in terms of waist height (H) * leg width (b) * waist thickness (d) count, such as "work 160 * 88 * 6", that is, waist height is 160 mm, leg width is 88 mm, waist thickness is 6 mm i-beam. Specifications of the nominal specification I-beam can also be indicated by type. The model indicates the centimeter height of the waist, such as the work 16#. The same height of the I-beam, if there are several different leg width and waist thickness, need to add a, B, C on the right side of the model to distinguish, such as 16a#, 16b#, 16c# and so on.
I-beam has custom-made, there are also ready-made, the general length of 5~19 meters.
