My wife owns a 2006 Lincoln Zeyphr, and she saw a new one, the MKZ, or something at a Lincoln Dealership when we were coming home from KrogerSo, she made me pull my Navigator into the dealership (Yes, we're Ford People, own 1 GMC)What an ugly hunk of plasticThey took a great car and completly butchered itIt's shortened about 6 inches, which elimintaes some cargo carrying room, and passenger leg room, which wasn't very plentiful on the Zeyphr to begin with, installed some primative, cheap navigation system that doesn't do crap, (and I should know primative navigation systems, I have an Envoy), took out the beautiful wood trim and replaced it with brushed aluminum that looks like it was ripped off a Maytag fridgeWe took it for a test driveIt had a stiff, choppy ride, while my wife's Zeyphr rides like a dreamAlso, the quote-on-quote navigation system had the simplest commands hidden underneath 10-12 layers of menusMe and my wife left in disgustPS: I think it's the MKZ.
No, the radiator reacts to the acid level in the coolantIf you don't have the correct anti-freeze in there or an additive to inhibit corrosion specifically in aluminum radiators then you'll have destruction of the aluminum take place.periodIt will happen every timeMetal particles from the engine parts aren't the issueAlmost always now, when you have aluminum there the engine is mostly aluminum tooIt's the coolant that causes the corrosion.
