I want to get the sonic boom alarm clock, but i don't know if it will be safe for my dog?
Have you ever seen how a disc lock works? There's no room to get a cutting tool in there to cut it off, the disc is steel and is not easy to cut, you'd have to cut it twice to get the lock off, and you can forget cutting the lock itself! It's too much trouble and is too time-consuming to attempt to cut a portion out of the disc, and that's the whole point. A disc lock is a theft deterrent device, not a theft preventive device; it's designed to make it too time-consuming and too much trouble to steal the bike, and it works. I would imagine that if someone saw you hacking away at the disc on a bike, the cops would be showing up pretty soon after that!
Not a good idea anyhow, dude. It unbalances the wheel, making the motorcycle unpleasant at speed and very dangerous to ride .
it makes the thief walk by your bike and take the one without the lock just ask my friend from daytona this year
First off, what the hell is Smidgen talking about. Secondly get an alarm that notifys you when someone is messing with your scooter. This way you can sneak up on them and crush their freaking skulls in with a baseball bat. Hit them in the kneecaps first as to incapacitate them this way they know what's comming. They will never mess with anyones scooter again and you'll be the hero of all who ride! To answer your question yes the disc can be cut but would take some time. I would think the thieven bastards would pass it up and go pick on someone else. Most disc locks come with a cord (like a coiled telephone cable) make sure you clip one end to your ignition switch this way you remember to take it off before you ride away otherwise you'll probably wind up on your ****.
Bushings SHOULD NOT go bad this soon, and if it's a 2008 model, you should just let the warranty cover it.
