Question:

Is there a way I can stop my smoke detector from randomly beeping?

My smoke detectors (approx. 8 in the house) are hardwired and also run on battery power as a backup. They will randomly beep (sometimes only one or two, sometimes a whole floor, and even all of them sometimes) usually just one time, but occasionally for a couple minutes straight. This usually happens the night of or the day after a large rain or thunderstorm. On some occasions, the garage doors of my house also raise on their own. Is it possible that the thunderstorms are overloading the system and/or there is moisture buildup from the rain? I pushed the test button and they beeped, so i believe it is not a low battery problem.

Answer:

Well, the fact that you mouthed off to your mom is one reason. Here's the thing, you are the kid, mom is the parent. You do what mom says or you pay the consequences. A parent is a pain in the butt but we've all got them and we all had to deal with the problem in having them. You aren't the first - consider yourself lucky that she even cares.
Well I am 13 years old And I think you deserved it. You should have not have talked to your mother like that Your a bad girl so let's face it. Getting grounded is what you need. So don't you go and whine that your mother is mean Well truthfully you were the mean one in that situation
Our First Alert carbon monoxide detector has started to chirp so we changed the batteries which were fresh. It is still chirping and we see no red light. It is hard wired into our rv. What do we do?
