I have a sofa whose leg made of metal has broken. It sits with screws to the main base and need to know if it can be repaired? Is there anyone / agency who will fix it?
there is a nut under the bent leg, attached to the frame. Drilling another hole probably won't work. You have nothing to lose, so try to bend the leg back into position. if that doesn't help, you can gut the leg off with a hack saw, and buy another leg and bracket to fit.
Most hardware stores have replacement wooden legs, you may be able to replace the broken one, or all of them if you can't find an exact match. Or you can find a local metal fabrication shop to either weld it up, or build a new one.
