Question:

Is there anything I can do with venison stew meat other than make stew?

A friend gave us some venison stew meat, unfortunately we don't really like stewIs there anything else we can do with it that it wont come out tough? I tried using it in stir fry, it had a really good flavor but the meat was tough and hard to chewAny suggestions are appreciated

Answer:

You can cook the venison stew meat in the oven at 275 degrees for about 3-4 hours covered with aluminum foil in a roasting pan with these ingredients: chopped 1 onion 2 tablespoons of tomato paste 2 cups of beef stock salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumin, chili powder (1 tablespoon of each) 3 sprigs of thyme after 3 hours, mix the stew meat and put back in oven covered with aluminum foil for the last hour!
