Question:

is this a good combination for an insulator???? (i suck at science)?

i used these materials in this order to cover a pop can[aluminum foil] then [bubble wrap] then some fleece to cover everything except the topIs this a good order??? If the materials are not good insulators, can you tell me which ones are bettter?? (please?)

Answer:

Bubble wrap plastic sheet is not good because heat leaks through the bubble jointsReplace it with foam sheet that can be found for packingPlacing them in these orders: aluminum foil.foam sheet.aluminum foil.foam sheet.
They sell kits at most hardware stores to make new screens
I have yet to find a screen repairing kit with aluminum spline anywhere! What I DID find though was a name on the edge of the screen where it was manufactured, and once contacted, they did offer me a replacement aluminum spline for a cost!
I'm having the exact same problem and even the largest size at the local Home Depot or Lowes (0.190) is way too looseThere are a few larger sizes available online but looks like you have to order 500' at a timeI still haven't found a location that even recognizes aluminum spline even exists I'm thinking about trying .250, but I don't want to have to go through yet another iteration of buy, try, fail, return all over again.
