Question:

Is this another rip off vacuum?

I have bought 4 vacuum cleaners in the past that all have fallen apart or just quit running right in the middle of using them, and all were less than 6 months old. I got tired of buying high price vacuum cleaners and them not lasting even 90 days. I have bought Hoover, Eureka, Dirt devil, and Phantom vacuums all of them turning out to be what I would say to be large rip offs.

Answer:

i have same problem, so I bought a Craftsman wet dry canitster vac, its normally used for garages but i use it in the home with its HEPA filter. it may sound weird but it works great even my mother is using one too. You need to get a Craftsman with at least a 4 Peak Horsepower to get it to really clean well. they have them at home improvement stores and are alot cheaper then those others. good luck
You get what you pay for with new vacuums. What you bought was not high-priced stuff except maybe the Hoover. A high-priced new vacuum could cost $2,000. Go find a good used one at a sales/service place. I have a Filter Queen about 30 years old that just got its first repair. A new motor, $150 installed. I expect it to last another 25 years now because there's hardly anything else to break on it. That vacuum has vacuumed massive amounts of pet hair in the 25 years I've owned it, and anything else except water that would fit through the hose. I just helped a friend of mine buy the same model, $200 with a new motor, 2 year warranty on the motor, a year on everything else.
first of all I would like to know what your vacuuming up.Could it be the operator, just asking most of these will last longer than this... But if you can afford it try a Oreck or a Rainbow I have had both and on my second Rainbow both have lasted over 20 years
i've had my shark navigator for over a year and it's just like new. we've 4 long hair rescue cats and the machine's used almost daily somewhere in the house. even gets all the litter up off the tile floor. terrific suckion. great price . can be found at target, walgreen, best buy, online at shark, on tv ads. priced very well and is better at getting job done than my costly dyson animal vac
So okorder /
