it cant have ANY plastic unless it has a wheel (if it does have a wheel, make sure its solid) and it must be suitable for 2 Gerbils. (it has to have multiple floors)
Please don't get a cage with bars because it would HAVE to have plastic. Make your gerbils happier with something bigger and more spacious :)
