that is mostly used in jewelry making.I think. it starts out a liquid, then drys completely clear, and looks a little like glass and is used sometimes to make the image underneath look larger.
The rosin that we use at my studio is typically meant for ballet and pointe only and it's a chalk-like substance that you use to keep from sliding slipping on the stage / floor. I always find that using too much rosin causes you to stick to the floor and makes it harder to turn, etc plus it can make your shoes (especially soft ballet shoes) squeak like crazy! I usually only use a little for performances but some dancers need more than others hope this helped! :)
