Question:

ive just bled radiators now boiler wont light how would i fill boiler with more water?

just bled radiator and now boiler wont light do it need topping up ?how do i do it thank you

Answer:

under boiler is a filling loop ..sometimes tap at both ends ...sometimes one ..they need to be opened until correct pressure and then turned off again
Right beside the pilot light is a piece of round metal, this is your thermocouple. It senses the pilot and energizes the gas valve to light the main burner. Sounds like it's not sensing it. Take some fine steel wool or fine sandpaper and clean the thermocouple. Should take care of the problem.
Your central heating is a sealed system, therefore, as you remove water, you must replace it. Open the filling loop which is a flexible tube, and open the valve and keeping an eye on the water pressure gauge, top it up until it is between 1 and 1/2 bar. Boiler will then start.
can you be more specific? Was the boiler empty when you bled the radiators? What is the water pressure indicated on the boiler? When you try and light the pilot do you smell gas? Some times it takes a few times for the boiler to light. I learned this the hardway---by calling someone out.....a few years back.... Also there is usually a main power supply (electrical) wired to the boiler. Even if it is gas, propane, etc. Make sure that switch is and has power -- you may have to trace back to your electrical box to make sure you didn't accidentally turn the power off completely to it at the end of last season.
