I'm wondering if there's any performance differential between a glass pipe and a porcelain pipe.I paid a bit more for this porcelain pipe so I'm hoping so.thanks
I've smoked from everything you can think of including an aluminum foil bowl which is very dangerous and from my experience I don't think there's a huge difference between porcelain and glassPorcelain is just a more expensive material than glass which is why it cost you moreBut there really isn't a difference in smoking performance I personally prefer glass pipes :)
Yes, the copper oxide will be reduced by the aluminiumThe acid will not attack the copper itself, since most acids are not strong enough (unless you use nitric acid or concentrated sulphuric acid)It is best to use soda, howeverThis will form a deposit of liberated aluminium on the foil, meaning there will be no free aluminium ions once you rinse the bowlIt will also reduce the risk of side reactions with the aluminium, or the oxides, since most metal oxides react with acids.
