I have an older Toshiba Sattelite and the keyboard is stuck on the function mode and I can't get to it stop. Please HELP!!! It's a huge pain in the %# to have to hold down the Fn key to type!
Anyone know how to un-stick the Fn key? I just replaced keyboard on my Inspiron 2650 (I had spilled some soda in it before and it wasn't working). It works fine now, except that the Fn key seems to think it's depressed (poor lil key) so my uio nows looks like 456. If I hold in the Fn key I'm able to type the letters, but obviously that's a big pain
Keyboards form part of the user interface and a keyboard problem can be very annoying. Sometimes the keyboard drivers can get corrupted. Some of the problems can be fixed . I have found the details given at fixit.in/keyboard.html is more useful. Try here, if you can what you are searching for!
Attempt to clean it out, if that doesn't work just replace it.
