Question:

Know of any family size freezer meals under $5?

I have been going with walmart brand lasagna $3.97 and salsbury steak $2.00I feed a family of 5 most nights and 6 on the weekends.Looking for stuff cheap and that will feed 5-6 people.Any ideas?

Answer:

HmmmI know you're looking for pre-packaged meals, but the most cost-effective (and nutritious) way to feed the brood is to make your own freezer mealsI buy gallon freezer bags and make my own crock-pot stews (like the banquet meals) and cheap aluminum casserole dishes to make ahead and freezeWhen I cook, I make BIG portions and freeze somethings like meatballs, meat loaf and casseroles work well.
Im not too sure but thinking about itI would say to make your own crayons out of broken onesyou first have to melt them.so once they are really melted then you can get a like a cookie cutter shape or any other baking shape thing that has the form that you wantAnd pour it into it -I would say put some waxed paper on a baking sheet and place the cookie cutters on top, then pour the mixture into it and let it dryit's wax so Im assuming it dries outAlso you can get your child the big thick crayonsI believe the bran is Kiddy Craft.not sureI actually found them at a dollar store, they're bigger than the regular crayola ones, and they're still non-toxicIt's late nowbut I believe we have some of those in my kids' creative table downstairsI will check and let you know:)) Good Luck!
