Synthetic 'yarn' not woolwool is bad for babies, they can be allergic to itUse either soft baby yarn, or soft worsted weight.
This is a matter of personal choice and locationFor use in a centrally heated house you would make a thinner blanket than one intended for use while traveling outdoors in cold weatherPersonally i would not use wool as some babies would find wool scratchy on their delicate skinEven many adults cannot bear wool next to the skin.
Try searing the chicken prior to baking, I'm assuming you baked them with BBQ sauceSalt and pepper both sides, on a medium hot sauce pan brown both sides with olive oil, bake and just the last 5 minutes drizzle BBQ sauce and when done take them out and loosely cover the chicken with aluminum foil for 5 to 10 minutes before serving to redistribute juice insideNever ever pierce the chicken for doneness immediately after taking out.
