I am upgrading a two-year-old higher end HP tower to include a mirrored hard drive. I did a little vacuuming and inspection and plan to order the exact model drive which is in there now. I noticed that the SATA cables used include a simple plastic latching mechanism in the connector. I checked CDW and found quot;latchingcables made by Startech which I assume should work (but the latching part is made of stamped metal). My biggest question is the power connector. The factory installed molex-to-SATA adapter also has this latch mechanism (on the black hard drive side), but I cannot find a cable anywhere mentioning a latch on the power connector. Is this something specific to factory installation?Thanks.
