Question:

Leaving Canned food in the can bad (open)?

The other day i had some zoodles and could only eat half a can (have mono right now :( ) so i put some aluminum wrap on the top of the can and put it in the fridge (was in cupboard before)Well my mom seen it and claims that leaving food in the can, can give you poisoning of some kindtrue? false? she said the same thing for those big cans of apple juice since i just popped some holes in the can and put it in the fridge.

Answer:

I use vanilla icing when I make a gingerbread houseYou could use buttercream, I have before!
Hi Kerri, If you use confectioners sugar and a little water you can make an icing paste thick enough to support your walls but they may take some time to dry so the walls might need supporting to begin withYou can also flavour the sugar with vanilla or mint extract etc,and it can be colouredI hope this helps, all the bestRab
Things have improved in canned goods as compared to older timesThe inside of cans are coated to prevent interacting with the food and to prevent that metallic tasteI never leave any food or juices in the original container once openedNo use taking chances when plastic and glass is readily available for storage in the fridgeMom may be right to some degree, especially with acidic foods and cans.
