Question:

light and sound waves?

distinguish between light waves and sound waves plz

Answer:

Light 'waves' are pure energy. No matter is involved, no mass, no moving thing. Light can travel in a vacuum. Sound waves are matter in motion. There is an energy associated with the moving particles, but there must be matter: particles with mass. Sound cannot travel in a vacuum.
Light waves are a type of transverse wave and oscillate/vibrate perpendicular to the plane. Light waves are also visible and cannot bend but can be reflected. Light can also travel in a vacum. Sound waves on the other hand are longitudinal waves and oscillate/vibrate parallel to the plane. Sound cannot travel in a vacum. Good luck!
