Question:

Lime in the Coconut?

Does the song mean it in the literal sense? Has anyone ever tried this?

Answer:

distilling does take away the lime residue this should be left at the bottom of the container the contaminated water was boiled in. the distilled water should be in a different container with no impurities. When boiled the lime will be present as limescale like in a kettle this is hardly toxic unless you eat a load of it Otherwise im sure the water-board would have to remove it before letting us consume it.
Lime, or calcium carbonate, dissolves into groundwater or surface water that is in contact with limestone.
