Question:

Lime Mortar for re-pointing - how to get flat joint?

We are repointing an old barn wall using traditional Lime (putty) mortar, (not the limed sand/cement mix). The joints need to be flat. Anybody know the traditional method of doing this so we can match it to existing lime mortar?

Answer:

heard that if you put in a lime inside the glass bottle at the top and leave it there while drinking, try it, my dad does it.
yes because you are drinking mexican pi$$. I figure Corona came around when a bunch of mexicans were drinking tequila and pissed into bottles and sold it as beer. Its an all natural filtering process. GO GREEN!
Since it really is not a beer putting some fruit in it makes no difference. In fact that crap might need the whole damn lime to make it drinkable. So heck yea the lime makes it better.
no it doesnt make you a pussy, you put the lime in the corona because it kills the bacteria that can cause you to be sick because it is made in a different country.
Here's your answer: Beer sold in clear or green bottles offers zero protection to the beer from light. Light exposure is what gives beer a skunky flavor that most people think comes from temperature changes which is not entirely true. Corona bottles of course are CLEAR. So the answer is yes, a lime in your Corona can make it taste better OR you could drink a different beer that's sold in a dark bottle; it will have a much fresher taste.
