Ignorance appears to be bliss in some of the answers you received for your question here. God is a loving God and did nothing unjust in his laws. Few of these people know anything about the Bible or it's content.
I don't know all the laws of the Old Testament.Old Covenant. Jesus came to bring a New Covenant. I think most things that God told them to do and not do were things to keep them healthy etc.like don't eat pork (because it spoils easily and they didn't have any way of keeping it from spoiling.) There are lots of fruits and vegetables He told them to eatbecause they were the only kinds of medicine they had at the time. Maybe it's like the Catholic church saying it's a mortal sin if you don't go to Mass on Sunday when you're able tobecause if they didn't say you HAVE TO.then a lot of people wouldn't go to Mass. The Law kills the joy of going to church. Didn' t you do a lot of bad things growing up just because your parents told you NOT TO? The Law makes you WANT to break the Law. IDK why!!
