Its a 2004 Toyota Corolla. The maintenance required light is on...not the check engine light. Just wondering if it would pass emissions testing. thanks!!!
take your car to mechanic for tune-up and change oil, then reset the maintenance light.
The maintenance light pops on as a reminder the oil and filter need to be changed. The light automatically illuminates 5,000 miles sense the previous oil change. The maintenance light has no bearing on any of your emissions performance or system parts. You'll pass your emission inspection.
The light isn't the only reason a car fails emissions but this light shouldn't fail you, it's just a light that tells you you've reached a milestone in your maintenance schedule like maybe 60,000 miles and time for a timing belt change.
