Question:

Making popcorn on the stove.keep using current pot or get a Whirley-pop?

I love popcorn and currently use an old commercial grade (read heavy) stock pot (think its 8 qts, not sure) on the gas stove to make popcornNeedless to say this process is tiring b/c of the constant shaking and heavy pan weight so I would like to get a Whirley-pop to replace itHowever I am hesitant because I've read several reviews indicating it won't hold up well to daily use because of the plastic gearsThese reviews are also conflicting about whether the pan and mechanism are aluminum or stainless steelI would be making single batches, sometimes 2 batches.depends on how long the movie is LOLHow sturdy is the Whirley-pop? Is it made from aluminum or stainless steel?

Answer:

I will preface this by saying that I do not currently, and have never in the past actually own a Whirly-PopI have heard of them, and seen them in stores That said, I am a bit of a popcorn freakI make stovetop popcorn at least 3 times a week, I make caramel corn, Kettle Korn, movie theater style and traditional old fashioned styleBy far the best thing I have found for making popcorn is a $12 wok I picked up at an Asian marketMine looks just like the one pictured under my sources linksIt has a round bottom, so all the oil pools, and uncooked kernels end up right where the heat is highestYou'll need a lid too, I got one at the same marketYou want aluminum, not steel - for 2 reasonsFirst, it's lighter, and second, you can drill holes it it very easilyI did that so steam could escape I know this didn't exactly answer your question, but it works so well for me that I had to share Anyone saying use microwave popcorn should have their ability to post in Food and Drink revokedEven if stove top popcorn didn't taste a million times better, it is a ton cheaper, and produces less wasteMicrowave popcorn is one of 2 things banned from my kitchen.
maybe a few poundsdon't try to lose too much in too short a time because it's not healthy and can have negative side-effectsJust eat healthy and exerciseTry to cut out unhealthy snacks, maybe limit them to once or twice a week, and eat lots of fruit and veggies! Try to cut out soft drink (drink diet soft drink if you must); drink mainly only water if you canTry to exercise for at least 30mins everyday, or 4+ times a weekYou could go for a run, use a skipping rope, go for a long walk or go for a swimThose are just a few ideasAny more exercise than you currently do is good (as long as you don't do too much exercise)Remember that even if you do everything right, you're not going to notice much of a difference in just 9 daysIt'd normally be at least a few weeks until you notice a differencehope i helped
don't use that acai berry thing!! my mom did the free trial and they kept sending it to her, and it cost around $200! whoever said that, is probably working for the company and is saying bsI learned that the only way to lose weight is to exercise everydaygo on a jog, or swimmingcan't help you on the 9 day thinghope I helped.
I guess it's up to your weight-loss plan and how determined you are to lose weightPersonally, I'd say it's up to your will-power more than anything elseGood luck!
I'd stay away from strange pills and risky dietsjust eat healthy (make sure you eat breakfast!) and exerciseI'm assuming losing lots of weight that fast won't be good for you.
