For some reason I just do not seem to understand this problem. Are brackets different than parenthesis? I know that you always do everything inside of the brackets before parenthesis.But if someone can break down this problem for me and tell me how the answer is 75/57 it would be greatly appreciated. 7-4[-9(2)+5 / 5(2)5(2)-2(-2)]
brackets and parenthesis are exactly the same at this time So, start at the centre and work out.
7-4[-9(2)+5 / 5(2)5(2)-2(-2)] 7 - 4[-18 + 5 / 100 + 4] 7 - 4[-13 / 104] 7 + 52/104 7 + 1/2 14/2 + 1/2 15/2
