Measure insulation resistance of electrical equipment. Why not use a multimeter for a multimeter?

Answer:

The measuring range of the multimeter is small, and the insulation resistance of the measuring equipment needs a great resistance, can not be measured by a multimeter, and the swing table has a large measuring range,
Multimeter test voltage is too low, usually only about 9V. The electrical equipment requires no breakdown at thousands of volts, and has good insulation. This requirement can be met by a trillion ohm meter.
Since it is the insulation resistance, it is certainly far greater than the range of resistance of human body resistance (resistance of human body is in the range of 2K to 2M), and the multimeter biggest gear is x10K, and the half scale method is the most accurate measurement data, so only the multimeter is still relatively good in resistance effect measurement of 100K or less. But to measure the resistance above M euro, the deviation of the meter will be great. So adopt a professional European watch.
